Glad I’m not that guy!

February 25th, 2013

Glad I'm not Obama! If can think of the ultimate you, the person you see yourself as when you have reached ultimate success, not just financially, but in every aspect of your life…what does that look like?

Are you ripped, rich and famous, or does any of that matter to you? Maybe you’re the “down to earth” rich guy that still wears his paint stained jeans around town, yet, has all the money in the world?

For me, I know EXACTLY what the ultimate me looks like.

And with that knowledge, I also know EXACTLY what I don’t want to be like.

So here’s a few guys I’m glad I’m not like, in several ways and for many different reasons. You may be offended, heck, you might even agree with my picks. Whatever your stance, at least it’s a stance.

Tips for writing compelling Facebook status updates

February 22nd, 2013

Facebook status updateThere are just some things in life that I don’t understand. For instance, there are certain Facebook users who can post a status update like, “Lunch time…,” and they end up having  dozens of comments. “What are you having?” “Are you going out to eat?” Or they’ll give suggestions left and right of what they think that person should eat.

How does person ‘A’ get so much interaction, no matter what they post as their Facebook status update, while person ‘B’ could post the same thing and get zero interaction?

What would the world be like if we all knew the answer to that question? It would probably cease to exist as we know it because everything revolves around Facebook status updates! Right?

Build a residual income stream through blogging!

February 21st, 2013

Tom Hanks - A GazillionaireMany moons have passed by since the day I began my blogging career. Sometimes I wonder how things would have been then if I knew what I know now. If the Empower Network was around then, as Forest Gump says, I would be a “Gazillionaire” by now! Better late then never!

Which is the entire reason for this blog post. I want to tell you how you can build a residual income stream through blogging that will continue to pay you for years to come.

How to build a residual income stream through blogging

As you may already know, I am a blogger on the Empower Network, which is built around a multi-user wordpress platform. Building a residual income stream through blogging is extremely simple to do with the Empower Network, but without it, things can be a bit more complicated.

Tips for working from home with a toddler!

February 15th, 2013

toddler in a cardboard boxThere’s nothing better than working from home. You can set your own work schedule and pretty much do whatever you please, as long as it doesn’t effect your productivity. You don’t have to worry about cubicles, bosses, supervisors, annoying co-workers or anything else that comes with a regular job.

If you’re working a home based business, you’ve got your computer on your lap or desk, your feet are kicked up on an ottoman, your cell phone is right next to you and your income potential is unlimited.

Everything is as it should be. Life as a work from home entrepreneur couldn’t be better!

And then, from out of no where, comes your toddler. He spots you from the other side of the room. You try not to make eye contact but you just can’t help yourself….he’s so stinkin’ cute!

Passive Income Rocks, Doesn’t it?

February 7th, 2013

passive income rocks - Beavis and Butthead RockThe longer I’m involved in the network marketing industry, the more I realize just how much passive income rocks!

There’s nothing like sitting down for dinner and receiving an email stating that you’ve just made $1,000 from the efforts of others, or waking up in the morning to a $100 raise in your monthly income. I can’t quite put a pin on it, but for some reason, I love having money deposited directly into my bank account without having to personally put in the work it took to make those extra funds.

So Yes, Passive Income Rocks!

The first home based business I joined was a top-tier, direct sales company. Which basically means, the products were a little more pricey! The compensation plan was a 2-up, which is where the new distributor passes the commission from their first two sales up to their enroller. The concept was good, but due to the higher cost of the product, and the lack of motivation in the new distributor, those pass up sales weren’t received very often.

Optimize Contact Forms for Higher Conversions

February 5th, 2013

Increase Conversion RatesOver the years, I’ve learned a lot about increasing conversion rates. My primary focus has been turning the traffic I receive to my website into dollars, and there are obviously many ways to do that. One of the best, most effective and lucrative ways to turn traffic into dollars is through building a list. And in order to build a list quickly, you’ll need to optimize your contact forms.

Optimize Contact Forms for Higher Conversions

In the beginning of my online marketing career, the first contact form I added to my website had at least six required fields. I wanted to know their first name, last name (separate fields), phone number, email address, desired income level, what they were currently doing for an income, how serious they were and where in the world they were from.
