Become a Man of Value

September 5th, 2013

Albert Einstein - Become a man of valueOkay…here it is. I’ve been holding out on you. Do you really want to know what it truly takes to become a success?

One of the greats, even Albert Einstein said:

“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.”

Profound words, right? But what the heck is a man of value and how does one become that?

A Man of Value

A good reference to begin with is encased in one of my favorite church hymns, “Have I done any good?”

Personal Development Mobile App and Opportunity from iLA

January 4th, 2013

iLA - The Inspired Living ApplicationOccasionally I find opportunities that are almost completely hands off, very inexpensive, but can turn out to be real profitable over time…so ACT FAST if you want in on this one. It’s a personal development mobile app and income opportunity from iLA, Inspired Living App.

My primary business is with the Empower Network and is my main focus. But if you’ve ever wanted to throw $10 bucks a month and something just to see what happens, this is it! A La Carte style! It’s a way to invest in a great idea from the beginning and profit from it later. And from what I’ve seen, the app should be pretty great.

A Tribute to Personal Development Guru Zig Ziglar

December 7th, 2012

Zig ZiglarI’d like to write a quick tribute to personal development Guru, Zig Ziglar. He was born on November 6, 1926, and left this world on November 28, 2012. He was 86 years old.

Zig Ziglar

I remember the first time I listened to Zig as if it were yesterday. I had recently joined a network marketing company within the personal development industry, and we had purchased some audio cd’s to listen to as we were on the road. Amy had just purchased her dream vehicle, a Hummer (H2), and we were driving through the Salt River Canyon, between Showlow and Globe, Arizona.

As I listened to Zig, he was captivating, and had  a great speaking ability. His audio was mixed in with several other professional speakers and his message seemed to stick out above the rest.

Hilary Hinton “Zig” Ziglar, was a great author, salesman, a veteran and public speaker, to name a few. His message has inspired the hearts of many.

Our Season Opener Double Overtime Win

November 27th, 2012

Coaching BasketballSince I work from home, I am able to be flexible with my work schedule. On an average day, I work around 4 to 5 hours which gives me the time to be involved in the lives of my children.

This year I have decided to volunteer to coach my daughters girls basketball team. My experience in coaching 10, 11 and 12 year old girls is extremely limited, but so far I’ve had a blast. Having recently moved into the Thatcher school district, I wasn’t sure I would be chosen out of the many who had volunteered to be coaches this year. Most of them have graduated from Thatcher High and have been residents of this area since then. But when I received the call to coach, I was told that I came highly recommended. Can you say, “confidence boost?”

With that said, I’m a coach.

Live a Useful Life or Die Rich – Benjamin Franklin

February 16th, 2012

Benjamin Franklin - Live a Useful LifeBenjamin Franklin is a figure of our history, experiencing success as a businessman, politician, inventor and life in general. A study of his life could prove extremely useful to someone aspiring to walk the same or similar path as he did. And for those of you who feel that keeping a journal is a waste of time, imagine the lessons that would have been lost if Benjamin Franklin had that same point of view. If you feel your life is important, it might be a good idea to jot some things down every once in a while. Your life will probably have more of an impact than you realize if you choose to do so.

I also encourage you to choose for yourself council, and when I speak of council, I mean appointed men and women who inspire you. It’s more or less a board of directors, a group of people you can ask questions to and confide in when making important decisions. These people can be dead or alive, and they don’t even have to know they are on your board of directors. Benjamin Franklin is one of my personal directors and his wisdom and learning effects certain decisions I currently make and will make in the future. Principles are eternal, only if we put them to good use.

I’m Kind of a Big Deal!

May 6th, 2011

I'm Kind of a Big DealThere is a simple rule that I have learned in my journey of success is that everything is relevant and related. Some people are a success naturally. It’s in their nature, while others really have to work on it.

What I’ve noticed in my own life, is that most of my successes are directly related to how I feel about myself. Now what I mean by that, is if I feel like I am a fat slob, unhealthy and unattractive, my self esteem is going to be rock bottom. My opinion of myself may or may not be a reality, but that’s what my mind believes. Until I can change this mental picture of myself, how can I view anything that my fat, ugly self creates as attractive? Make sense?
