The True Story of Life….for Most People. Be Unique!

October 1st, 2013

Have you ever just sat and thought about being unique? Being different than everyone else around you? It’s obvious that you’re a unique person, with unique traits, abilities and characteristics, but that’s not what I’m talking about.

The uniqueness I’m referring to is the kind defined by what you do every day, your habits.

The True Story of Life

I stumbled across an image that sums up my point. In this day and time, we live in an age of conformity, and for the bulk of the population in this world, that means joining the workforce.

Working a day job isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Most people are lucky to even have a job, right? Well, that’s because that’s they way they feel, and think.

If they were to feel and think differently, what would happen?

Welcome to Your New Work Schedule

April 15th, 2013

new work scheduleI’m not sure this is it for you, but one of the main reasons people get cold feet is because of the whole, “fear of the unknown” factor.

They just don’t know what they’d be doing once they get started in an opportunity like this….
….mostly because they’ve never done anything like this before!

So, if I outlined my typical DAILY schedule for you, would that change things for you?

If you did EXACTLY what I do on a daily basis, this is what you’d be doing….

The Graveyard Job that Almost Killed Me!

April 15th, 2013

Skid marks on highwayWhen you hear to words, “Graveyards,” what thoughts come up for you?

Depending on your current employment, you might have a different thought process than someone else does, or maybe not.

Graveyard! Let’s pause for a second there. What a term! Whoever came up with the nickname, “graveyards” for the night shift hours, should have copyrighted that. It’s like death for employees. In most jobs, it’s considered the crap shift…the one nobody wants. The only time I though graveyards were fun was in my adolescent years, because the boss wasn’t there and I could do whatever I wanted!

On with my point, here’s a little story about the graveyard shift that nearly killed me. Seriously.

Are you cool enough to be a school volunteer P.E. teacher?

March 7th, 2013

school volunteer P.E. coachMy oldest daughter entered into the school systems as a kindergartner back in 2006. Since 2005, I escaped from my job and started a home based business. Ever since that day, I’ve had the flexibility to volunteer in all of my children’s classes in many different capacities. This year, I’m a school volunteer P.E. teacher….and I’m loving it!

Is there any better way to spend your time than with a bunch of screaming, happy third graders?

I think not….most of the time! Occasionally, there are those moments where I wonder if I have any control of them at all.

He Took Four Months Off!

December 19th, 2012

Take some time offI recently received a phone call from a friend of mine, who is also currently involved in the same opportunity as I am. His family had recently been through a rough time. Someone that was very dear to them had passed away unexpectedly.

Whenever something like that happens, it’s easy to be derailed for a little while. Suddenly, most things in the world seem very insignificant. Compared to family, nothing is more important. I’ve experienced moments in my life which had a similar effect.

So what does my friend do? He takes four months off!

When was the last time you have heard of anyone being able to do that, and still have a home, pay the bills, buy groceries and support their family?

Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches Rock

October 16th, 2012

Allred's at the Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday was a pretty eventful weekend. First, it was Graham County Fair weekend, and second, it was my birthday! I’m still not sure what I wanna be when I grow up, but you can be dang sure that it’s not average. But more about that later. The weekend before last was our annual trip to Apple Annie’s Pumpkins patch and corn maze. And I can tell you, corn mazes and pumpkin patches rock. Between the kettle corn, apple smoked burgers and family, it’s an all round good time.

Here’s why I share this with you: One HUGE aspect of success is you, living your life so that others can see.
