Travel, Vacations, and My Business

Hawaii Cliff JumpingLast night I took Amy out for a group date type of dinner at one of the best Italian restaurants here in town. It is just a small place here in Pinetop where the owner won’t allow cell phones, casual dress or lateness. Small price to pay for great food I guess! Somehow we all started talking above places we had been to. The conversation started when someone asked a friend of mine about a home he is building down in Mexico somewhere on the Pacific Ocean. I can’t remember the actual town. He started to tell us how much we would love it down there and I tell you what, it sounded excellent. It reminded me of all the places we have been in the last few years. We have had a blast.

RomeSince we have been involved with this Home Based Business, which has only been just under 4 years, we have been to Puerto Rico, Cancun Mexico three times, Rome Italy, Sydney Australia, the Big Island of Hawaii, Orlando, Los Angeles, Atlanta and all over the USA on road trips. Prior to this home business, we had only been just across the border of Mexico and to a few other states while in the military. I had no idea of the life we were missing.

sydney-australia-085.jpgI will never forget the view the Blue Mountains just outside of Sydney as the clouds came rolling in and as the sun was just shining on the three sisters and no where else. It is almost magical when in a plane above the clouds and it seams as though the world has turned upside down as the sun in rising above the clouds. The water on the Big Island of Hawaii near Waikaloa is so crystal clear that you can see every fish, plant, or creature 50 ft below on the oceans floor as you just float on top. It is so deceiving that I nearly drowned trying to swim down to touch the bottom. The sunsets in Cancun were beyond this world and the architecture of Rome reminded me how small I am and how great Rome of old was. So many memories from all of these exotic locations!

You know the cool thing though is that we took our business with us. With a laptop and a phone we have made thousands and thousands of dollars while traveling to all of these places. So call them business trips or a vacations, we have had a blast and have made a ton of money doing it! We started on this path not long ago. What are you waiting for?

3 Things I do that 97% of people don’t!

July 22nd, 2008

So what do I do that most of the world does not? There are many levels of living your life. Some people make a living and some people live their life and there is an extreme difference between the two. One way of living involves the word “settling” and the other does not. Both involve choice! Not choosing to live is still choosing not to live. I can tell you, there are a lot more than just 3 things I do that most people don’t, but let’s name a few.

#1. Instead of only having 2 weeks paid vacation, I have over 3 months. In doing what I do, it doesn’t matter where I am in the world. As long as I have my laptop, a phone, and the internet, I am generating income. How many people do you personally know that can be on a beach in Cancun or in Rome with their family and still make thousands? It is a lot easier than you think! Do you really know what it is like to not remember what day it is. Monday or Saturday? It’s really the same thing to me. I always miss the holidays that most people treat as gold because they usually get the day off. Everyday is a weekend and everyday is independence day for me. I celebrate my independence from bondage!

#2. I eat breakfast with my kids on Monday mornings, and Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday Mornings, and Thursday mornings etc,. I have the privilege, that most people will never have, to sit and eat a bowl of Lucky Charms with my kids while listening to the soundtrack of “Surf’s up!” I don’t wake up in the mornings thinking of what work I have to do. I wake in the mornings thinking of how to enjoy my day. My kids wake me up. They are my alarm clock!

#3. I work 3 hours a day, Monday through Thursday! I work a total of 20 hours a week…..MAX! How many people have that kind of a work schedule and still make a huge income. Now, when I say a huge income, I really mean that. I mean, how else would I fund my 6 vacations that I plan on taking this year! How can I afford that kind of a lifestyle. Some may think of me as wealthy and I feel I haven’t even scratched the surface yet! What would you do with the rest of your day after only having a 3 hour work day? Finally enjoy your life, maybe?

Now you have been introduced to the concept of the 3 hour work day and a few of the things that I will never take for granted again. I love this business and what it has provided for my family and I. Everyone deserves to have these things in their life as well. It’s as simple as a choice….a choice to stop settling and to start living!

Cancun, Mexico

August 25th, 2006

In March we attended an event in Cancun Mexico. We arrived on a Monday afternoon, checked into the Moon Palace resort, found our room and took a tour of the grounds. This resort is fantastic. It is an all inclusive resort located right on the beach in Cancun. The service was so excellent, we actually set a goal to see if it were possible to walk by an employee without them saying, “hola.” We failed to achieve our goal.

The event itself was nothing short of inspiring. We heard from Dick Hoyt, who shows his love and compassion for his son while demonstrating his tremendous desire to go the extra mile. His son, Rick, had been tangled with the umbilical cord, at birth, which confined him to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. To make a long story short, Rick was given the opportunity to speak through a computer and told his parents that when he is running, it feels like he isn’t handicapped. Since then, they have been in many marathons and triathlons across the nation and have overcome tremendous obstacles along the way. Truly inspiring. The crowd cheered through tears of inspiration for Team Hoyt.
We also heard from Patrick Combs and Deanna Latson. David Neagle had a near death experience of being sucked through a dam. After that experience he devoted his life to helping others realize their true potential with the simple concept, JUST BELIEVE. Patrick Combs was told over and over again that he would never achieve his goals and that he should give up. For more than a decade he has dedicated his career to helping people live with more courage, passion, inspiration and meaning. Deanna touched on some permanent lifestyle changes that will improve health and wellbeing. Her inspiration was to save her Dad’s life, and in turn has helped so many more.

In addition to hearing from these inspiring speakers, we had some play time. We rented a wave runner and hit the waves in the ocean. Talk about being sore afterwards. Also we rented some little two seat-er speed boats , cruised through water channels and snorkeled in the reef. How often do most people get to do that or even have the time, freedom, and money to vacation in exotic locations like this? We plan on doing it again this coming October in Hawaii during our next event. And since this blog is fairly new I will update you on the last Liberty Conference in Puerto Rico.

At the end of every event is a black tie event. This event closes things out with a wild night of fun and entertainment. This is truly an amazing community of individuals we are part of. A room full with thousands of entrepreneurs who are living the lives of their dreams and it all comes down to a choice they made to get started. Already this year I have taken more vacations then I was ever able to take before I made this incredible life-changing choice.
