7 Keys to Creating Success In A Home Based Business!

November 17th, 2008

Can you really work from home and be as successful as you’d like to be? Are there any Home Based Businesses out there that can produce results? Are the promises and the advertisements stating the dream lifestyle and amazing income fluff or are there success stories? I guess the real questions is: Can the average person have the same results?

Now before I answer that question, let me dish out some statistics. It is fact that 80% of all businesses fail before their 3rd year in business, most millionaires have gone bankrupt or failed in different business ventures several times before experiencing success, the average income in most MLM structured home based businesses is less than $5k a year.

So can average people have all out massive success in a home based business? No! Average people can’t have much success in anything and I will tell you why, but first let me share with you the unwritten meaning of success. It means to excel, reach goals, stand out, accomplish dreams, create a fortune, experience results and all in all reach your desired outcome. How then, if you are average, meaning like everyone else, can you ever have more success than those who are also average. You must be different. You can’t be average and excel in a home based business or in any business for that matter. You must first learn to stop thinking like an average thinker, and to start thinking like a bug thinker, or an Entrepreneur.

The reason I say this is because there are thousands of people starting a Home Based Business everyday! Every single day! Now what is going to separate you from them? What are you going to do differently that will ensure your success? Here it is:

  1. Direct Sales! Don’t waste your time or money on an MLM.
  2. Find a Home Based Business with a system to follow and follow it to the “T”. System = success.
  3. Find a mentor who is having success and get started with them.
  4. Do what your mentor tells you to do and call them frequently.
  5. Treat your home based business like a business, not a hobby. If you ever want to succeed then you must take more pride in your business than you do your job. Doing the bare minimum will not cut it!
  6. You must be creative. No one will do it for you. Think of new ideas, “be your business” and do something original.
  7. Play full out!! I cannot emphasize this enough. Mediocre and average effort will bring mediocre and average results. Play full out for all out massive success.

So many people just don’t realize that they can actually make more money, have more time, and spend more time with their family by starting a home based business. Average thinking people who have failed have clogged forums with negativity have distorted the true potential of a Home Based Business. While they have been doing so, so many people have been building fortunes and living dreams.

Direct Sales is one of the most lucrative industries in the world. People are literally making their prior annual salary in one single month. Why? Because they are not average. They are Entrepreneur…and there is a huge difference.

Philosophies of the Ant – Never Quit!

November 9th, 2008

One of the simplest aspects of becoming successful in any endeavor is a two word phrase, “Never Quit!” I can still remember back to the glory days of High School sports and one phrase still rings crystal clear in my mind. It came from my coach during the first few weeks of practice and it went something like this, “What part of never quit don’t you understand? The never or the quit! If you want to quit, you don’t deserve to be on this team!” What an effect that has had on me in everything I have pursued. It is as simple as it sounds! The “Quitter” never wins.

I believe the underlying reason so many people quit at so many things is because it is easy. When the road gets a little rough, the wind picks up a little, the waves toss you to and fro, just throw up your hands and quit. Than you don’t have to think about it anymore. It’s over. Move on! You have all probably heard the common phrase, “Great things come with great sacrifice!” That is a principle. Never expect to get something for nothing, but expect the something. Never expect to get the free ride, but expect the ride. Life is all about the journey, and success is achieved by going through that journey. Success is truly not yours unless you create it yourself. Never expect others to make it happen for you.

If you have ever studied an ant or tortured ants like I did as a boy, then you know this simple principle of “Never Quit!” What does an ant do when you place your foot right in front of its path? Does it stop short of your foot, sigh a little then turn around and go home? No! That ant will go around, under, over or through, if necessary, and if you really tick it off, it will bite you and make you move! That is determination and that is the never quit mentality that successful people possess.

So what separates those who succeed from those who do not? What is the big difference there? Let me illustrate a few examples. One couple, when starting a Home Based Business with a large initial investment, ran into issues with finding the funding. Instead of quitting right then and there, when things looked hopeless, they found a way. They came up with the funds. They simply make a decision to never quit and they are now making more every month than they initially invested. Another couple, with zero computer experience, was having issues with advertising their business properly on the internet. Instead of letting frustration set in from the fear of the unknown, they figured it out. They were solution focused and plowed right through their obstacle and now have more inquiries than they can handle.

When it call comes down to it, the reason people become successful is because they start to finish. They don’t start to quit! The only way to fail is to quit! Quit, and you deserve to fail. Never quit, and you deserve all the wealth, prosperity and abundance that is truly yours.

Direct Sales Association

November 1st, 2008

At times I get asked if we are a member of the Direct Sales Association.  I’m sure there are good reasons
for some companies to join….and some companies NOT to join. A colleague of mine sent this to me in an email.

But, right now, I’m glad we’re not a member.

Check out this quote from CNN/Money.com:

About 15 million Americans work in direct marketing, doing such things as
going door to door or hosting product “parties,” according to the Direct Selling
Association (DSA), an industry trade group. DSA spokeswoman Amy Robinson said industry hiring, which declined
1.3% in 2007 and was weak in the first half of the year, has picked up in recent
months – just as the full impact of the financial crisis started to be felt. “This is
what we’re hearing from several of our members,” she said. Direct selling has a low start-up costs, typically between $100 to $200 for a
starter kit. According to DSA, the average yearly income from a direct selling
job is $2,400, or about $200 a month.

“Direct selling isn’t a full-time job,” Robinson said. “It gives you extra money
to go on vacation, get the refrigerator fixed or buy Christmas gifts. It’s about
getting some extra money in the pocket.”

====

Amazing.

CNN/Money decides to do a feature on the direct sales industry and the
best they can say is that this industry is designed to help people fix their
appliances?

Sheesh.  How embarrassing.  It’s the best evidence that the DSA is completely
disconnected from what people are looking for from a home business.

Because, I don’t know about you guys….but most of my prospects want $100k+.
They’re not looking for $200 a month to “fix their refrigerator”.

Philosophies of the Ant – Know Your Objective

October 25th, 2008

What does it truly mean to know your objective and do just that? First off, you must clearly define your objective, or your goals. This means you must know what it is, where it will come from, when you are going to accomplish it, and the steps that will lead you to that end.

Let’s use the ant as an example. An ants objective is to gather food for the entire colony. That is objective number one. Objective number two is to protect the colony. There isn’t much lolly gagging around. To an ant, getting food is primary until threatened. Then protection is primary. It is about survival.

Let’s relate this to running a successful business or becoming an entrepreneur. Your first objective is to gather food, or income, or raise. Nothing else should step in the way of that. Make it a priority. Set apart your “income producing” time. Get that time done before moving on to anything else. In Network Marketing or a Home Based Business, it is very easy to be distracted by other things. While working from home, there are kids to play with, wife or husband to help out, things to clean or build, babies crying and activities that do not add to the “income producing” ones. Do not let these get in the way. Set your priorities and tackle them in order of importance.

Get clear on your objective. Operate as you are already there and as though it is happening. This comes about through visualizing your goals. Once already at the end goal or the final destination, it is easier to see the steps you must take to arrive there. You can begin to work backwards and figure things out that might not be otherwise anticipated.

And always, always, always be a master of one. In other words, don’t be a jack of all trades and a master of none. When you start a business, project, or job, finish that one first or make that one the most successful first before you attempt to look elsewhere. I have known people who have started three Home Based Businesses all at once! Guess which ones failed? All of them failed! There is power behind concentrated and channeled focus. When directed to one objective, success happens!

So let us be more and think more like the ant. Even though it is pure instinct and the nature of the ant, I have no doubt that the ant is thinking “food, food, food, food” the entire time it is looking for it. It definitely isn’t thinking about the sexy queen ant it met the other day. It is extremely focused on the objective, and thus, extremely successful!

This is the second of the 10 Philosophies of the Ant.

How to make money in a Home Based Business!

February 8th, 2008

The first bit of advice that I can give when starting a home based business is to choose a business opportunity in Direct Sales. Stay away from the MLM’s of Network Marketing if it is true wealth that you seek. I know plenty of people that have worked their tails off in an MLM, become a top ranking earner but yet still have to have two or three other businesses or jobs to make their bills. They still struggle. Many people that I work along side with in this home based business have come directly from an MLM because they weren’t seeing the results they were looking for. Is it possible to make money with them? Yes it is, but it will take you a heck of a lot longer to do it.

The reason I suggest Direct Sales is due to the compensation plan. Now there are many different Direct Sales business opportunities out there with many different compensation plans, choose the one that supports your financial goals. The compensation plan I am accustomed to pays me first, and then the wholesale company. I collect payment for the product and then forward the company their share. My keep is about 60% of the total cost of the product. I don’t know of any business, retail or wholesale, that has those kind of profits. That is huge!

Most of the time, with a Direct Sales Home based business, your commissions are going to be fairly large. I know with most MLM companies you get $20 here and $30 there for the sale of a product. Try $1,000 here and $14,000 there for a change. If you are looking to create some true wealth then I don’t know of any other Home Based Business that can provide the level of income this one can.

Do your due diligence when choosing a Home Based Business. Make sure it has a track history of success and talk with someone who is doing it. Jump in with them as a student. Follow the system they have prepared for you and whatever you do, do not try to re-invent the wheel, so to speak. The system is there for a reason….for your success. If it just so happens that you are looking into my Home Based Business, I look forward working with you. With just a little bit of capitol at start-up, you can blow your bank account through the roof.

How to Quadruple Your Income in 2008

January 15th, 2008

A lot of the title of this article depends directly on how much you currently make. If you are like most people, you are making a salary or married to a business and struggling. There is a very small percentage of people who actually make above 6 figures. Some of these people work jobs and still make that much while others are business owners. The people I am targeting with this article are people who make less than $200k and more than $30k. I doesn’t matter what you do for a living. You can at least quadruple your income with this business opportunity. I say that price range because I was making about $40k a year when I found this opportunity. If I can do it, anyone can.

Before I start off, this business opportunity is home based, part-time, and very lucrative with a potential to generate over a million in any given year. So to say that you have the potential to quadruple your income is a very accurate description. Now, this is not a get rich quick game. This is a business that requires work and effort on your part. Even though it is part time and home based, it must be worked. Treat a business like a hobby and you will get results every once in a while. Treat it like a business and you will get results all the time. I work an average of 2-3 hours a day, four days a week. This is very part time.

You would be working a business in the Personal Development industry which is a multi-billion dollar industry. Up until this opportunity was founded, the big names in Personal Development were the sole recipients of the billions of dollars made in this industry. Now, you have the business model that will aid you in being part of this great industry. This is a simple 3-step business that virtually anyone can do. The simple is this: Place ads, talk to those who respond to those ads, get them the information they require to make a decision and then collect that decision. It is so simple.

So, what is the gold dust, or the secret to success in this business? The secret to success is consistency! The only way to fail in business is to quit. To succeed in business is to persist without exception. That is the gold dust. There are no secrets to success. The most difficult part about this is the decision to get started.

So don’t make 2007 the same as 2008. Increase your income, increase your understanding of your full potential, and put that to use with this business opportunity and quadruple your income.
