The True Meaning of Financial Freedom

January 6th, 2009

I Googled the words “financial freedom” and came up with two results, wealth and reverse mortgage. Since I am not a lender, I will not be posting about mortgages although it was a pretty good concept. So besides mortgages, the other result was wealth. Financial Freedom equals wealth! Wealth, is the abundance of something that is of value to the economy. You can split it up into three different areas: Income, Property, and Value of Investments. So you can see that your direct income is only part of accumulating true wealth, BUT, the other two are directly related to your income. How will you ever be able to invest in property or stocks without a healthy income? Your income, initially, is a major part to accumulating true wealth.

So let’s break down financial freedom. Simple right? It’s freedom from the financial aspects of life, freedom from financial burden and hardship. I mean, if you think about it, freedom is the right to do what you want, when you want, and how you want to do it. Freedom is the right to think and act for yourself without restriction.

Bills can seem like they destroy that freedom, don’t they? They can drag you down, cause tremendous stress and burdens, bind you, restrict your lifestyle and can even take a stab at your confidence in your own abilities to provide for you family. They prohibit your ability to live life the way you would like to and have always dreamed of. They can keep you from having the things you want and the lifestyle you deserve.

Now here’s the truth….It’s not the bills that burden you. It is your income that burdens you. The only way to overcome your bills and your financial burdens is to make a lot more money. The only way to live the life of your dreams is to increase your income. The only way to have true financial freedom is to become wealthy!

Here’s an interesting and pathetic fact: Less than 10% of all people alive in this world will ever see financial freedom. Less than 10% will ever live out their dreams or accomplish their goals. So what are the other 90% doing? They are still blaming the bill collectors and the utility companies for their lack of income.

Now on the other hand, the 10% are living large! They have experienced true financial freedom and are enjoying the fruit their labors. Some people may think that they have all the money and that is why the other 90% struggle. If you believe that you may never experience financial freedom unless you learn to change your mindset. I might suggest some Personal Development on prosperity consciousness. The wealthy know this one simple concept….there is an abundance of money and plenty of it to make YOU wealthy. All you have to do is find a business opportunity that will provide a vehicle for you to achieve your financial goals and for you to decide to make it happen. That is it!

In my own words, “To be rich is to have an abundance of money. To be wealthy is to have an abundance of both time and money!” So do the world a favor become wealthy and increase the ratio to something better than 90/10. Financial freedom is for everyone, but will only come to those who choose in!

Get paid for your results, not your time!

January 31st, 2008

I once heard of a story of a young boy who one day went to his mother and said, “Mom, from this point on, I want to forfeit my allowance and start getting paid by commission.” Now, the little boy was making $7 a week for his allowance. That equals $1 a day. He had heard somewhere that a person could make a lot more money from commission based work rather than getting paid for your time. So, he came up with this great idea that he would switch from daily pay to commission pay.

The little boy then set the commission he would receive per job. The commission was 0.25 cents. So, he cleaned his room, folded and put away his clothes, took out the trash, and made his bed. The little boy made $1 his first day. Then the second day came along and he realized that the trash did not need to be taken out, his room was still clean, and he didn’t have any clean clothes to fold and put away. But he did help his Dad clean the garage for a while. So he made a quarter the second day.

He started to think to himself that maybe this was not such a good idea. So he want back to his Mom and asked if he could switch back to his regular weekly allowance. The mother told him no. He had set the terms and they made a deal. The little boy had to find a way to make it profitable for him. The little boy thought and thought of how to make this way of earning more profitable than a fixed amount. He then started to get creative around the house. He thought of dusting, carrying in the groceries, helping with the dishes, feeding his little sister, organizing the book shelf, vacuuming, and so on and so on. The boy found jobs that he could do everyday that were new and creative. He increased his earnings to twice the amount he used to make with his old allowance. He had to be creative, but it paid off.

I use this story to make a point. If you are working a job or in a business that pays you for your time, instead of for your results, you will never create as much wealth as the person who gets paid for results. Commission based business is the most lucrative way of earning. A chiropractor can only get paid for so many hours of his time, because he only has 24 in a day. Where a business card business can print millions of cards a day or more if needed, because he has a machine that does most of the work, and gets paid for results.

Find a business opportunity that can leverage your time and earn you profits while you sleep. That is true leverage and where true wealth begins.

Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

January 1st, 2008

Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy new year and assume that everyone had a blast last night! We spent the evening at the movie theater with just our family watching Alvin and the Chipmunks. Our kids barely made it through the movie and were passed out in the car before we were 5 minutes down the road. Slackers! No discipline. We had about 45minutes to wait once we arrived home, kissed each other and went to bed at aroun 12:30am. The important part, is that I have not worked since the Friday before Christmas eve. Through the holidays I have seen fathers and mothers alike having to go back to work during the holidays. I am just grateful that I have the option to choose for myself, being self-employed, whether or not to work. It is a great freedom that I will never take for granted.

So with this new year here, it important to set some lofty goals for myself and for my family. Of course, my goal is to make seven-figures by this time 2009. I intend on assisting as many like-minded entrepreneurs in doing the same as well. I had great success last year, received an award, assisted many people in this business, but it will not hold a candle to this years results. If you are ready for wealth, abundance, and freedom in your life, jump on the train. I am going places in this business and am determined to assist as many people in board as I possible can.

So, enjoy the day and Happy New Year to you all!
