A Trip to Telluride Colorado

October 13th, 2010

TellurideTip of the day: When you are feeling a little poverty conscious, when thoughts of doubt about your financial future enter your mind frequently and things just don’t quite seem to be going your way, JUST LEAVE! Seriously, pack your suite case, get in the car and go somewhere that makes you feel good and prosperous. Get the heck out of Mayberry and go to a place where things are happening and the atmosphere is breath taking.

Spend the money it will take to get you there. It will be worth it!

Seriously though…..think about the most successful people you know. And if the most successful person you know is your best friends cousin Daryl, who won $1000 in the lottery once, think of the most successful person you know of…..a businessman, actor or athlete. Where do they hang out all the time? Do they stay in one spot?

NO! Successful people are on the move. Think about it, if you had all the money in the world and you started having feelings of doubt about your success, would you sit there and entertain that thought?

NO! You’d get up and replace that thought with a prosperous thought. And one of the best ways to do that is to have plenty of prosperous thoughts to replace it with.

Visiting Telluride Colorado gave me a dozen or more thoughts of prosperity! The waterfall, the cliffs, the Aspen trees in the fall and the snow tipped peaks were amazing. The town was busting with business and the weather was perfect. If I was having any thoughts of doubt or discouragement before I came here, believe me, they are gone. They’re insignificant now!

You see, there is a constant battle going on inside your head. The majority wants control and the majority is poverty, or averageness. Not even positive if averageness is a word, but it wants control, because everything in the world is pointing you in that direction. You’ve got to have some ammo to fight off the intruders. That ammo for me, today, was all I witnessed in Telluride.

If you haven’t been somewhere in a while, plan a trip. Not just to your mom’s house in the home town you came from, but to a place you have never been to before…a place that will inspire you. Take some pictures and record some video. Take your most favorite people in the world with you. Create some memories. It will be well worth it for you personally, and for your business. I promise!

You Choose: Coupons or Wealth

April 1st, 2009

couponsWe have all heard of the common phrase: “For wherever your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” It’s a simple theory really. Whatever you value as most important in your life will get the most attention and most likely, come to pass. So with that said, I think it is very important to know what our treasure is and where our hearts will be. So we must choose consciously and wisely.

Here is a very simple way to know where your treasure lies: Look around you! Look at your lifestyle, your family life, your income, your possessions, your job, your decisions and all that surrounds you. So far, that is where your heart has been.

Now, this mindset thing is very important in obtaining your treasure. Fact: Knowledge is power, or energy. Thoughts are energy. So I think it’s safe to say that if you focus enough thought energy toward one thing, eventually, your heart will take the action to get it. So what we think about is vital in obtaining the treasure, the lifestyle, the income, the job or whatever it is you desire.

Choose: Coupons or Wealth

Here is an example of how simple this really is: When you do your shopping, do you take coupons? Do you look at the price of everything you buy and always choose the cheaper version regardless of quality? Are you most concerned with pinching pennies and saving a buck here and there? Does it hurt to spend money, if you know what I mean? Do you try to spend as little as possible during your trips to the store or do you just get what you want, or need I should say? Or do you really get what you want?

If these are the things you do, your thoughts are focusing on the lack thereof instead of prosperity and abundance. When all of your thought energy is focused on saving, lower prices, spending little, low quality, fear of spending, and pinching every single penny, that is exactly what you will get. You will always have just enough money to get what you need and will have a lack thereof in your bank account. Pinching pennies can be seriously damaging to your mindset and thus be reflected in your income, effecting your lifestyle, causing you to stay in this poverty game of saving a few bucks.

Is it really worth the effort? Is sacrificing your mindset honestly worth a few bucks here and there? In the big picture, it will kill your prosperity and success. Don’t do it. It is so much easier just to get what you want. Ignore the prices. Ten cents here or there will not matter to your bank account, but will to your mindset.

Every thought and every ounce of thought energy should go towards making more and thriving? Imagine if you spent more time thinking about prosperity than you did on saving at the grocery store. What and where would your treasure be then? Think about it!

Philosophies of the Ant – Selfless Service

November 21st, 2008

When you assist enough people in getting what they want, you will, in turn, get what you want! I would like to say this is an idea, but I think it is so much more than that. This is a principle, or a rule that happens when applied. For every action there is a reaction. Take action in bringing value and gain to someone else and the reaction of blessings, fortune, kindness, whatever it is you seek will come to fruition in your life.

Take for example the ant. What are the ants main concerns in life? Shelter? Food? Protection? An ant isn’t concerned with how fat they look or how out of shape they are. There is no selfishness in the colony. They all work together to support their queen and in return, they get the colony for protection, food, and shelter. I guess you could say they are working for a greater cause than themselves. There is a much higher purpose in their realm of existence and at times, I wish that we could be more like them in the aspect of team work and selflessness.

What would our world be like if we all worked together towards a greater cause? How would it effect your life personally to be part of something greater than yourself, and here’s the clue: actually know it! How would that change your perspective on what truly is important. I know that when I am going through rough times in my life, all I have to do, is give service to someone else in greater need of assistance than I am. Guess what happens? My issues all of the sudden don’t seem so important or as bad as they had seemed earlier. I gain a greater sense of how to get myself out of the situation I am in. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and can see that it is a lot closer than I thought it was.

So ask yourself: When was the last time you made a difference in someone elses day, life, or even business? What have you done this week or this month to serve those around you?

My challenge to you is to take some time this week and give it freely to a neighbor, a colleague, a friend, a family member, or a complete stranger by offering a simple gesture of service. Sometimes it can be as simple as a friendly smile!

Remember, there is always somebody worse off than you are. So take a little bit of time out or your life to make a difference in someone elses. It will ALWAYS come back to you ten fold. Become part of a greater cause than yourself and I promise you, you will have more prosperity and happiness than you could possibly imagine!

Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!

December 26th, 2007

What a holiday season! I have just been full of gratitude for all the many wonderful things that have happened my family and I this past year. Well, if you have been through my website, you know all the places we have been able to visit and some of the things we were able to accomplish. Life is full of abundance and great moments if we but choose to act. In reflecting where I was three years ago, I realize how awesome lfe is for us right now. I wouldn’t change a thing.

The holiday season is always a perfect time to get together with family and friends. I love holidays for that one reason. Well, that and the good food. But, you know, I would like to say that I am going to be able to spend time with my extended family for the next week and just hang out, but they all have to go back to work today. Yeah, we are headed down to stay with them for the next week or so but they will all be gone during the day to their JOB. What a bummer! Why can’t everyone just start this business, mke a ton of money, and take as much time off as I do. Then, that would be ideal. But I guess it isn’t my choice.

This is just a quick note to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Make 2008 the year that will bring much prosperity and abundance into your life. Don’t wait to get started towards your goals. Don’t make resolutions, make goals and as NIKE would say, just do it! If you are looking for a business vehicle, check out my website and don’t hesitate to call me. This business has changed my life and it will for you too. Have a happy New Year!

Prosperity Conscious vs. Poverty Conscious

October 14th, 2006

What is the meaning of these terms and which one consumes the majority of your thought power. As I have mentioned before thoughts are energy. Thoughts govern our reality, especially when they are reoccurring and focused. You get what you focus on. Thus the familiar quote comes to life: “I think; Therefore I am.” So ask yourself this one question: Are you thinking of prosperity and are thus prosperous or are you thinking of poverty and have been struggling financially for quite some time?

An example of a typical mind frame that is poverty conscious would be someone who takes an envelope full of coupons to the grocery store, passes up a gas station because one 2 blocks away is one cent cheaper, has a hard time spending money, checks the price tags on everything, passes up the item that he/she really wants and goes to the sale rack, and ultimately considers themselves poor or unfortunate and everyone else rich or better off. Some words that might be used are: I hope, I wish, I think I can, I am trying to, it would be nice if…..etc. Also, those who have money because they have saved every penny they have ever earned and have no intention on spending any of it. Yes, I believe in being frugal and wise as far as money management goes, but there is a fine line between poverty conscious and frugal.

On the flip side, a good example of prosperity conscious is someone who can find opportunity in almost anything, can make a decision quickly, knows that money is energy and keeps the flow of outgoing and incoming currency, sees abundance in everything around them, is successful, has a zeal for life and is very positive, tends to be the leader, knows that the expensive rack wasn’t made for the extremely wealthy people, but for him. These are the people who apply the BE-DO-HAVE principle. They are the person…… before they have the life. That is how powerful thought is. You can create any lifestyle you desire through your thoughts.

I have been runninng a very successful home based business for about 2 yrs now and have drastically improved my way of thinking to more of prosperity rather than poverty. Every once in a while I will catch myself and correct my way of thinking but it’s an ongoing thing. I can tell you this much, it has made the difference not only in my business but in my life as well. Evaluate yourself and see what kind of mindframe you have and what you can do to change your way of thinking. If you are looking for a change in your current financial situation then you must first change the way you think.
