Money Making OR Family Time

August 12th, 2009

Family TimeWhat do you consider most important:

  • Making money OR
  • Spending time with family

What is your answer? It’s pretty obvious right? Most people would say that spending time with family is most important and you know what…they are exactly right! That is more important, but, if you have no money, are you going to enjoy that time you spend with your family? Or are you going to even have that time to spend? Money isn’t everything right, but what is everything without it? What is your life like with money….and without it? Think about it a bit.

I will be straight up honest with all of you right now…I put money making above family time! Yes, you heard me right. I put making money above family time, but I have a good reason. Here it is…If I am not making money, I cannot fully enjoy my family time. If I can’t provide a good living for my family, while I am with them, I will be thinking of what a failure I have been to them. While with them in physical form, my mind will be somewhere else! My mind will be thinking about the money I am short that month or the bills coming up. So in reality, I am not even truly spending that time with them.

Time spent half-heartedly is time wasted! If you aren’t giving something all you’ve got, if you aren’t completely present, it would have been better if you weren’t there at all. If I am to truly enjoy my family, I must know that I have everything else in order. Given I don’t have to have billions of dollars coming in before I am comfortable. I just have to know that my short term future is immediately taken care of. For example, if I know that my rent or mortgage is coming up next week and I don’t have but fifty bucks in my bank account, my wheels are turning. Since I work from home, I have the freedom to choose my schedule right? So, if my kids get home from school and want to go catch bugs, it’s 2:30 in the afternoon, should I pick up and go catch bugs right then? I wouldn’t be able to truly enjoy that time with my kids because my mind is preoccupied with bills, so I would hold off until I feel I have accomplished all that I can with my work day. Then maybe when six o’clock rolls around, I can hang out with my kids. Now this is just an example but how true is it.

In order to be truly present in the lives of my family, I must make money. I must provide. That is my first and foremost responsibility to them. Once that is done, I can then devote all of my energy, authentically, to them. Family is always first in my mind, that’s why I make the choices I do. It’s to ensure that I will always be there. As a father who missed out on 8 month out of the first year of my oldest daughters life, I know what it’s like to have your child look up at you and not recognize who you are. It’s not something every father dreams about.

Money is a lifestyle tool. Make enough of it and you can live your life however you want to. That’s the important principle here. Now let’s make it happen!

Top 3 Ways How I Make Money?

December 22nd, 2008

Well here it is. I have decided to give you all an inside look at how I make money. Well, at least the top 3 things that produce the most income and one or two ways that will become more profitable for me in the future.

There are a ton of ways to make money working from home and regardless of when you start, who you are or what your results have been in the past, you can do it as well. It just takes action, one step in front of the other and a strong ambition or vision of what you want.

So here we go:

  1. My Home Based Business – The biggest money maker for me throughout the last 4 years has been the home based business opportunity I promote on this website. It has been the reason I created this site. Initially I make money when someone purchases a product with the potential to generate anywhere from $1,000 to $14,000 per customer. Residual and passive income are also mingled into the compensation that pays me add-on sales as I assist others in creating the same kind of success that I have. So it is a win-win situation. I make money only when others create success! It is a highly lucrative business and continues to be my main focus.
  2. Adsense -  For anyone who has done research into making money with Adsense then you know the potential of this one. You always see checks being cut by Google to Probloggers and marketers all around the world for multiple 5 figures and 6 figure checks for one months worth of clicks. If you think about it, Google is a multi-billion dollar cookie. There is plenty of money to be made with Adsense. I, however, have not hit the multiple 5-figure checks as of yet but my revenue is ever increasing with Adsense. As my blog grows, so will my traffic and every source of income will also increase.
  3. Text Link Ads – This is a service that allows other marketers to place an in-text link on your site for a certain price. How much money you make is dependent on the traffic to your site, your page rank and a few other factors. Not all sites are accepted but you can always apply. Some say that text link ads hurt your search engine rankings with Google while others say that Google can’t tell the difference. So this one is up to you.

So these are the top 3 ways that I generate income with the first being bar far the most lucrative of them all! I also earn commission from other affiliate programs such as Amazon and may list those is a future post as their income increases.

The cool thing about making money, is that there are a ton of ways to do it. The one factor that will determine your success, is what you give you attention and focus to. Right now, my focus is with my Home Based Business and teaching others how to create wealth the same way I have. If I spread my focus too thin between many different ways of generating income, they will all suffer and it won’t be a profitable.

So if you plan on having multiple streams of income, I recommend that you find things that work with each other. For instance, I created this site for my Home Based Business. I started this blog to teach others about my industry, educate them on Entrepreneuralism and assist them is creating success in their lives, so I put Adsense and text link ads in the mix. They all go together and they don’t take my focus away from number one! Make sense?

In what ways do you generate an income? If it is online, be sure fill in the space asking for your website.

3 Truths You Should Know About Making Money!

August 12th, 2008

#1. Money is a concept! When I say concept, I mean it is a level of being. A person becomes rich and powerful because that is who they are already, before they get the money. You don’t become rich and powerful after you get the money. You just remain who you are, and if you are poor and low in heart, you will become poor and low in heart once again. Money is something that comes to you freely when you grasp “the concept.” Money isn’t really the paper in your wallet, it is the ability to live life on your terms. It is a force or a tool that is used for great things! As people say, it is what makes the world go round. It is more of an ability rather than a thing. Your ability to have money is directly correlated to your personal being, or your growth. When you grow, your income grows, and I’m referencing physical growth. When you become a millionaire first, in your mind, then will you become a millionaire!

#2. It is a reward for the level of service you render to the public. The greater the value of your service, the greater the amount of money you receive. The greater the value you put on your service, the greater your income is. That is key! People will pay you what they think your service is worth. If you put no value to what you are offering, that is what people will expect to get it for. Why to people pay $1000.00 or more for a pair of shoes in Beverly Hills when you can buy the same shoes at the outlet malls for $59.95? It is the value you put on your product or service that determines what people will pay for it. If you offer a business opportunity, what do you value the opportunity as? What has it done for you?

#3. Money is meant to be in flow, meaning, used. Money is energy. Energy has to go somewhere and be used or it just dies off. You can’t keep a battery charged forever, eventually it loses its power. The same goes for money, it was made to be spent, exchanged, traded, passed on, shared, and moving from one hand to the next, not hoarded. Those who have the highest degree of wealth understand this concept. In order to keep the flow of money coming in their direction, the dam has to be open. There has to be somewhere for the money to go. Money is a river, not a lake. I’m not telling you to be foolish with your money and spend all of it as soon as you get it, but make sure you have a use for it.

Understanding what money is, what it is used for, and how to keep it flowing into your life. This all sounds so simple right? How much money is flowing into your life? Is it always there when you require it to be? Do you understand the true value of your service or opportunity? Are you making the income you feel you deserve? Is money steadily flowing into your life as much as it is flowing out? The sooner you truly understand these three truths, the more abundant your life will become!

Making Money Is Not A Hard Thing To Do!

July 30th, 2008

What is this concept, or this thing that people will kill for, die for, sacrifice their lives for and even sacrifice their loved ones for? It amazes me what people will do for MONEY! Even though they may not realize it, most people really are giving up every ounce of joy in their persuit of money. To most people, making money is a hard thing to do. They have the concept that money is elusive and is never around. When they think of money, harsh and negative feelings arouse. We have all heard of this phrase: Money is the root of all evil, or money doesn’t grow on trees! Most people are raised with these kinds of ideas. What does that do to their ability to make money? It destroys it.

The simple truth about money is that there is plenty of it. More money is being made every single day and it does grow on trees. It is mostly made of paper! If we took all the money in the entire world and divided it up among everybody, we would all be wealthy. There is plenty to go around. So why are so many people broke? That is a whole new topic.

One of the most important things to know about money, is that it’s always in flow. Think of it as a river…and not just a trickling stream but a roaring and raging river that will never run dry. That is the flow of money and all you have to do is step in front of it. There are a million different ways to make a million dollars in this world the key to stepping in front of that river, is in your head.

Think about this, if you have negative thoughts about a person, basically thinking he is the root of all evil, he is never around and everytime you think of him, you have harsh and negative feelings towards him. Answer this question: Would you hang around someone who had those feelings towards you? No you wouldn’t. You would be everywhere else but there. It’s the same for money. It will come to those who appreciate it, who work for it, who use it in flow and who know of it’s potential for goodness and lifestyle. That is the person who attracts true wealth into their wallets! That is the person who money will hang around with.

If there is one thing I would like you to take away from this article regarding money, it would be: You are a money magnet! Everytime you find a quarter on the ground or make a big check, repeat that phrase in your head. You will be amazed at the effect it will have on your bank account!
