It’s these two reasons why more people are investing time and energy to form their own companies. However, not everyone will experience the same degree of success. There may be several key factors that can contribute to whether you can retire happily in the future or spend time on the unemployment line. What can you add to help boost the likelihood of your success?

Clean Home Office

A well-kept home office may be vital to your success. Studies show that a cluttered work environment reduces the productivity of office employees. In essence, this causes a mental distraction that can be detrimental to handling a workload. While your workspace doesn’t need to pass a white-glove inspection, keeping the area tidy can help you keep in the right frame of mind.

Social Media Interaction

Statistics prove that more than 80 percent of consumers research a business online before making purchases. This is true whether you’re home-based business is purely online or local. An active social media account helps increase the reputation of the brand. As more people are turning to the Internet to research businesses in their communities, it’s vital that you have a strong social media presence. Otherwise, you could inadvertently send traffic to your competitors.

Prompt Communication

Keeping in direct communication with clients and leads could be time consuming. Implementations like a call center plus services may be a boon to your success by making your company reachable day or night. Things like answering calls during the weekend, online chat or answering emails could free your time to focus on other aspects of the business. As a result, your home-based company delivers greater customer service. This can play a role in boosting the reputation of your brand.

Strong Marketing Strategy

Marketing needs to go beyond simply using social media. According to researchers, one in every seven businesses will fail because of a lack of marketing strategies. These strategies can range from pay-per-click campaigns to SEO for your website. It’s all about creating awareness of your products or services. You can’t expect to make a lot of money if no one knows your business is available.

Strong Budget Practices

Depending on the type of business you operate from home, it may be wise to create a strong budget plan. Too many businesses fail because of a lack of money management. The home-based business needs to be treated like a separate entity with it’s own financial needs. The moment it can’t sustain itself is when the business becomes an expensive hobby. Planning out how to use the money can prevent financial issues from developing. A budget will also help you determine areas of the business which need improvement.

These are only a handful of things you can do to improve the success of your home-based business. The most influential factor will be the amount of determination and motivation you have for sustaining the company. Don’t assume that being self-employed is all about relaxation. The more effort you put into anything in life, the greater is the potential for success.

Ready For a Change But Not Sure What To Do? https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/ready-change-sure/ Thu, 10 Jul 2014 17:37:30 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=6135 Life CoachMost of us, at some point in our life, will reach a time when we’re looking for a change. A big change. That change is usually due to the fact that we’ve become bored or unsatisfied with our career choice. You might be tired of the dead end job, ready for a fresh new job. Or, you might be ready to make the jump from employee to employer with your own business. Heck, I’ve even known people who are tired of the stress of being their own boss and would rather plug themselves back in to the Matrix and let someone else make the decisions. Working 9 to 5, going home not having to think about work until the next day is extremely appealing to some people.

So, you’ve determined that you’re ready for a change….now what? What’s the next step? You may be an expert in your current field but when it comes to the change you’re wanting to make, expert is not the word you’d use to describe your abilities.

The great thing about wanting to change but not knowing how, is that there are people who can help you.

Family

Family can be one of your best resources for knowledge when making big decisions. Most of the time, they’re going to give it to you straight and unbiased. You’ll want to steer clear of those family members who are always looking to get something out of the deal. Most likely, you already know who, in your family, falls into this category.

Friends

Your closest friends can sometimes be a better source of help than your family can. However, don’t mistake the difference between an acquaintance and an actual friend. Just because you know them, or speak to them occasionally, doesn’t mean they’re your friend.

Life Coaches

If you’ve exhausted all other resources and still feel like you’re stuck, hire a life coach with the experience and knowledge you need in order to get to the next step. If you’re looking to become a copywriter, an example of a life coach would be Michael Masterson, who offers training courses for those looking to either improve their abilities or change career paths in to the exciting field of copywriting.

There are experts like this in nearly every career path in existence who are willing to coach you.

In conclusion, I learned a valuable lesson several years ago that has remained with me to this day. The key to success isn’t dependent on your mentor. Whether you fail or succeed is all on you…..but a great mentor sure does help.

Do’s and Don’ts of Starting and Succeeding in a Home Based Business https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/dos-donts-starting-succeeding-home-based-business/ Thu, 03 Oct 2013 20:26:01 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5971 do's and don'ts of a home based businessIf you’re one of the millions of entrepreneur minded individuals in this world looking for a home based business, I have some advice to give you that you’ll want to listen to.

So before you say ‘Yes’ to joining just any business, read on!

The Do’s and Don’ts of Starting and Succeeding in a Home Based Business

Here we go….

The Don’ts

  1. Avoid people who want to pay you money to join their business. Chances are, they’re desperate, and that is probably why they’re offering incentives. Don’t do it.
  2. Will Pay you to Join

  3. Avoid the Shiny Object Syndrome. Look, there’s always going to be a new business coming out, a new launch or prelaunch around the corner. If you’ve already chosen your opportunity, stick with it! You saw the vision when you got started, now stay the course man! Keep your eyes on the goal and don’t get distracted by the beautiful shiny objects. Don’t be the bug who is compelled to fly into the bug zapper the moment it turns on. Know better!

Success in the home business industry is not a game of Leap Frog. Hopping from one business to the next will get you stuck in startup mode.

  4. Do not listen to people who have not had results themselves. There will be many who will be willing to tell you that you can’t do it, that you should just get a job or that ‘those things are all scams!’ They say that because they didn’t make any money. Well, they’re not you! When you’ve chosen your opportunity, mastermind with leaders…leaders who are making money. Associate with those who are getting the results you’d like to get.

The Do’s

  1. Get ALL IN! Meaning, purchase ALL of the products. Sometimes, in your own mind, it might make more sense to purchase the minimum and to use the business revenue to buy all the products. Don’t do it, because it won’t happen. Maybe once, in a million instances, has that ever worked. You might be thinking right now, “I’m the exception to the rule. Those stats don’t apply to me!” Believe me now, in six months, you can tell me I was right because you’ll be out of business or making pennies.
  2. Get All IN Mentally. This one should really come before getting ‘All In’ with the products, because being ‘All In’ is a mental state. Naturally, if you’re ‘All In’ you are committed. And someone who is truly committed to their home business, will find a way to purchase all of the products.

Tip: It’s difficult to be committed, completely ‘All In’ when you’re part of more than one home business. So choose one, and work it!

  3. Get Plugged In. You didn’t only join an opportunity, you joined a team. Most likely, your team, or their upline, will have team tools and training you can learn from. Attend your team hangouts, webinars, calls and anything else they put together that can help you. Stay up to date on company news and announcements. And then turn around and get those you sign up plugged in.
  4. Promote, Promote, Promote. Placing a few ads on Craigslist isn’t going to cut it. You must become one of two things: A master socializer or a master of marketing…or both! Utilize technology to save you time and money in your marketing efforts. Record videos so that people can see you and relate to you. Avoid “Lead Poverty” at all costs. A home business is dead in the water without leads, or prospects.
  5. Stay Consistent. Your greatest success will come by doing income producing activities over an extended period of time. Not just here or there, but every day! Form good habits in the beginning. Find what works, and stick with it.

10 Attributes that Successful Entrepreneurs Possess https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/10-attributes-successful-entrepreneurs-possess/ Thu, 12 Sep 2013 23:56:54 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5933 Successful EntrepreneursHave you ever wondered how the innovators of business become so successful? It isn’t all about money and connections that make the Steve Jobs, Richard Branson’s, and Donald Trumps of the business world special? Howard Stevenson from Harvard Business School describes these traits as the “pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled.” Through a pursuit of passion, with integrity, each of these business leaders changes the world.

Do you have what it takes to open a door and change your stars?

10 Attributes Successful Entrepreneurs Possess

Passion

One of the qualities that make up the most powerful entrepreneurs is passion, people who find their desire to change business with their own niche. Most people know the story of Steve Wozniak and Jobs starting Apple computers in their garage, but it is their passion that drove Apple to be one of the most powerful technological developers in the world.  While Wozniak and Jobs are no longer part of the organizational make up of Apple, their passion still drives the company and its new class of idea makers.

Commitment

Passion launches the commitment of those involved in creating a new path. New ideas are a good place to start but leaders and organizers must have the commitment to stick with the plan and keep going, even in the lean times. When you find what makes you strong, commit yourself to that aspect of yourself and your business. Follow up constantly, focus on customer service, stay connected to your product, and show your commitment every chance you get.

Positive Attitude

As you get started on your new idea, you need to be positive about your position in the industry, about the changes you can make, and how you can be the next big product or service everyone needs. When the first programmer started to work on creating the internet, he did so with a light in his eyes, exploding with confidence and a positive outlook for
what he was creating. You need that same positive energy. Your new idea can and will change the world. You can make a difference, keep that hunger and energy burning strong in your heart and soul as you challenge those around you, and it will become infectious.

Integrity

One aspect of every entrepreneurs job is to present their idea to others. In doing this, they must exhibit unquestionable, undeniable integrity. Imagine if Steve Jobs held up his first iPod and showed no confidence or knowledge about the product. What if during the presentation he hemmed and hawed over the numbers, the specifications, or the technology? If this had happened, the world of music would not be downloaded on millions of user’s iPods, iPads, and iPhones. This knowledge and confidence in your product will launch your integrity and trustworthiness among investors and future customers.

Fortitude

Everyone who ever had a new idea was laughed at by someone. The trick to surviving the critics, doubters, and haters is fortitude. Part of being the next big name or creating the newest product is having the fortitude to survive. Being an entrepreneur is not easy. The business world will eat you up and spit you out if you are not strong enough to
handle it all. As Donald Trump says, Passion gives you the intestinal fortitude you need to never give up.

Resourcefulness

Simply put, the modern entrepreneur is resourceful and creative. There is a solution and challenge around every corner. You need to develop your own peer network within the industry, be competitive, know when to ask for help, all while having a solid ethical base. Your resourcefulness will determine where you turn for assistance, guidance, and knowledge.

Team Skills

No matter how much passion, talent, or connections you need to be able to work with other people. Team building is essential to being a strong entrepreneur and creating something new. With the strength and collaboration of others, you can grow and expand your plan beyond the blueprints in your mind. Make a point of being able to work with others.
This will expand your skills and reach within the industry you are attempting to break into. Your team is your peer network and they will help launch your concept as you work together.

Adaptability

Through all that you know and can do, sometimes you need to be able to adapt and accept change. The growing global market accepts new ideas from people who can adapt and move with the flow of an international marketplace. How you acclimate in the face of adversity or uncertainty exhibits your resourcefulness and fortitude.

Negotiation Skills

No is a word you want to leave behind with other people’s businesses. As an entrepreneur, you want to be a master negotiator while you explore the possibilities of compromise, team work, and partnerships. The innovator works with others to develop new ideas to create and negotiate a yes from those you will contract with to turn designs into success.

Willingness

Every entrepreneur who ever broke the rules of their industry was willing. They were willing to fail, willing to compete, willing to open new doors and minds. Through their willingness, they found who they were and what being an  entrepreneur meant.
