For those of use involved in the world of business, the same phrase applies. “We expand or die!” In other words, we must grow our enterprise internally and externally. A stagnant business is a business dead in the water.

Sounds easy enough, right?

That all depends on the size of your company. Sure, if your a small mom and pop shop and would like to increase revenue, either make more product, make new product, increase your advertising efforts or open another location.

However, if you’re a medium to large sized company, things get a little more complicated. With an army employees all operating in their specific positions, increased learning, better communication and higher productivity are huge factors. When making plans for the future, it’s important to understand the details of your business, while at the same time, seeing the whole picture.

Whole Business Thinking by Robert S. Block

I recently learned of a book written on the premise to “provide business managers with a better understanding of how their business works, which will lead to better decisions and better outcomes for all stakeholders.”

The author, Robert S. Block, was asked why he wrote the book:

Over the years I’ve learned that everything is connected to everything and that the better I understand what I’m doing, the better the outcome.   Since I decided to devote a significant portion of my life to business, I needed to understand how business works.  The more I learned, the more successful I became.
I learned that knowing what to do was necessary but not sufficient.  I had to do what needed to be done.  Reduced to its simplest form:

  1. I had to do the right things, that means provide goods and services that customers are willing to pay for and
  2. I had to do things right, that means do things efficiently so I could sell my goods and services at a competitive price and still make a profit.

It seemed to me that sharing what I learned could help business people improve their company’s performance.

With over 60 years of experience as an entrepreneur, inventor, executive and student of business, his business advice can assist managers and executives in achieving higher performance levels quickly.

10 Attributes that Successful Entrepreneurs Possess https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/10-attributes-successful-entrepreneurs-possess/ Thu, 12 Sep 2013 23:56:54 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5933 Successful EntrepreneursHave you ever wondered how the innovators of business become so successful? It isn’t all about money and connections that make the Steve Jobs, Richard Branson’s, and Donald Trumps of the business world special? Howard Stevenson from Harvard Business School describes these traits as the “pursuit of opportunity without regard to resources currently controlled.” Through a pursuit of passion, with integrity, each of these business leaders changes the world.

Do you have what it takes to open a door and change your stars?

10 Attributes Successful Entrepreneurs Possess

Passion

One of the qualities that make up the most powerful entrepreneurs is passion, people who find their desire to change business with their own niche. Most people know the story of Steve Wozniak and Jobs starting Apple computers in their garage, but it is their passion that drove Apple to be one of the most powerful technological developers in the world.  While Wozniak and Jobs are no longer part of the organizational make up of Apple, their passion still drives the company and its new class of idea makers.

Commitment

Passion launches the commitment of those involved in creating a new path. New ideas are a good place to start but leaders and organizers must have the commitment to stick with the plan and keep going, even in the lean times. When you find what makes you strong, commit yourself to that aspect of yourself and your business. Follow up constantly, focus on customer service, stay connected to your product, and show your commitment every chance you get.

Positive Attitude

As you get started on your new idea, you need to be positive about your position in the industry, about the changes you can make, and how you can be the next big product or service everyone needs. When the first programmer started to work on creating the internet, he did so with a light in his eyes, exploding with confidence and a positive outlook for
what he was creating. You need that same positive energy. Your new idea can and will change the world. You can make a difference, keep that hunger and energy burning strong in your heart and soul as you challenge those around you, and it will become infectious.

Integrity

One aspect of every entrepreneurs job is to present their idea to others. In doing this, they must exhibit unquestionable, undeniable integrity. Imagine if Steve Jobs held up his first iPod and showed no confidence or knowledge about the product. What if during the presentation he hemmed and hawed over the numbers, the specifications, or the technology? If this had happened, the world of music would not be downloaded on millions of user’s iPods, iPads, and iPhones. This knowledge and confidence in your product will launch your integrity and trustworthiness among investors and future customers.

Fortitude

Everyone who ever had a new idea was laughed at by someone. The trick to surviving the critics, doubters, and haters is fortitude. Part of being the next big name or creating the newest product is having the fortitude to survive. Being an entrepreneur is not easy. The business world will eat you up and spit you out if you are not strong enough to
handle it all. As Donald Trump says, Passion gives you the intestinal fortitude you need to never give up.

Resourcefulness

Simply put, the modern entrepreneur is resourceful and creative. There is a solution and challenge around every corner. You need to develop your own peer network within the industry, be competitive, know when to ask for help, all while having a solid ethical base. Your resourcefulness will determine where you turn for assistance, guidance, and knowledge.

Team Skills

No matter how much passion, talent, or connections you need to be able to work with other people. Team building is essential to being a strong entrepreneur and creating something new. With the strength and collaboration of others, you can grow and expand your plan beyond the blueprints in your mind. Make a point of being able to work with others.
This will expand your skills and reach within the industry you are attempting to break into. Your team is your peer network and they will help launch your concept as you work together.

Adaptability

Through all that you know and can do, sometimes you need to be able to adapt and accept change. The growing global market accepts new ideas from people who can adapt and move with the flow of an international marketplace. How you acclimate in the face of adversity or uncertainty exhibits your resourcefulness and fortitude.

Negotiation Skills

No is a word you want to leave behind with other people’s businesses. As an entrepreneur, you want to be a master negotiator while you explore the possibilities of compromise, team work, and partnerships. The innovator works with others to develop new ideas to create and negotiate a yes from those you will contract with to turn designs into success.

Willingness

Every entrepreneur who ever broke the rules of their industry was willing. They were willing to fail, willing to compete, willing to open new doors and minds. Through their willingness, they found who they were and what being an  entrepreneur meant.

Welcome to Your New Work Schedule https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/welcome-to-your-new-work-schedule/ Tue, 16 Apr 2013 00:48:20 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5643 new work scheduleI’m not sure this is it for you, but one of the main reasons people get cold feet is because of the whole, “fear of the unknown” factor.

They just don’t know what they’d be doing once they get started in an opportunity like this….
….mostly because they’ve never done anything like this before!

So, if I outlined my typical DAILY schedule for you, would that change things for you?

If you did EXACTLY what I do on a daily basis, this is what you’d be doing….

6 am – 9am: Includes a 30 minute to 1 and a half hour workout, and driving my kids to school. Most of the time, I wake up at around 7:30 though. Still searching for the motivation to get up early.

9 am – 10 am: Breakfast and a shower, in no particular order!

11 am – 1pm: Mostly income producing activities such as checking and answering emails, I place at least one ad, I write a blog post and post it to my Facebook, Google plus and LinkedIn accounts. I also write an email to you during this time.

1 pm – 2 pm: Lunch, playing with 1 year old son, etc.

2 pm – 5 pm: Non-income producing activities such as listening to audios or watching training videos, which teach me how to market better, help my team make more money and increase my knowledge. I also use this time to make training and marketing videos for my team and marketing efforts.

My kids get home from school at around 2:30 everyday, so I usually take a 30 minute break in there to see how their day went. The rest of the evening is spent with family.

No alarm clock. No boss. Only my schedule.

Full time for me is 3 to 4 hours of work a day. Part time is 2 hours a day.

So tell me….does this sound enticing at all to you?

Come join me…and create your own custom work schedule.

Your world becomes an entirely different place when your day is truly yours.

It sure has made the difference in mine.

My Best April Fools Prank Yet https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/my-best-april-fools-prank-yet/ Tue, 02 Apr 2013 22:17:16 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5620 I’ve pulled off some pretty cool pranks in my lifetime, but this is, by far, the best April Fools prank I’ve done to this day! About half of my extended family was in utter shock and the other half wasn’t fooled at all….because they know better.

But there were a few who actually thanked the Lord, until they found out that it was just a prank….
…..after which, they were furious!

It was a simple post to Facebook.

Here it is…….

My Best April Fools Prank Yet

Best April Fools Day Prank for Entrepreneurs

That was the best prank I could think of! I know, I lack creativity at times.

But just like John says in the image above…..”That will never happen.”

When would I EVER give up a life of freedom for a life of bondage? I can’t explain to you in words how passionate I am about that.

Maybe you feel the same way, and maybe you don’t. But I can tell you this, unless you experience this kind of freedom, you really have no idea what I’m talking about.

Let this sink in, this opportunity, the Empower Network, can give you the freedom you seek.

TIME and MONEY.

Isn’t that what we all want? More time and money to do as we please, when we please?

It’s more within your grasp than you think. Seriously!

What’s the alternative? You can always go back to doing what you’ve been doing!

But I bet you won’t. I bet you’ll get started and find what you’ve been looking for all along.

Where’s the Oompa Loompa’s and the VDI Monitoring in Network Marketing? https://www.createfinancialwealth.com/vdi-monitoring-in-network-marketing/ Tue, 26 Mar 2013 09:38:16 +0000 http://www.createfinancialwealth.com/?p=5610 vdi monitoringSeveral years ago, I had a job. I know…you’re shocked, right? Heck, I even have a hard time believing myself when I say things like that. But yeah, I once worked for a popular domain registrar, which goes by the name of GoDaddy. It was there that I gained valuable experience in DNS and troubleshooting hosting issues, which I’ve used many times since.

I can’t say I know it all, but I know more than I knew before. And one of the things I learned there was their ability to maintain a controlled environment for their employees, an environment in which they could stay productive. With so many computers, and people working on those computers, it would seem to be a difficult task to keep them focused on their job, instead of browsing the internet all day.

Besides splitting the floor up into teams, and placing a supervisor over each team, they also were able to control your desktop through VDI monitoring software. I like to call them the Oompa Loompa’s, because they were the guys behind the scenes that you never really get to see much of, yet they do everything! So the guy next to me could have access to more troubleshooting tools, being considered “Hosting Certified,” while I was stuck with the basic tools of a greenie.

But at least I knew that if I was having trouble with my desktop, I could just call up the Oompa Loompa’s and they’d take over my screen, fix the issue and send me on my way.

There’s no better way to manage that size of a work force.

VDI Monitoring in Network Marketing?

Which brings me to my comparison. I think that some people who jump into network marketing for the first time expect that kind of support. They expect to see some sort of VDI monitoring or remote desktop help, especially when they get stuck in their marketing efforts. Instead of doing what every successful entrepreneur has done, which is figuring it out, they look to the Oompa Loompa’s….which don’t exist in network marketing.

In nearly every home based business I’ve been involved in, all of them had some sort of a system to follow. And that system involved several main steps one must duplicate in order to experience success. Everything else outside of those steps had to be figured out. That’s what separates the winners from the losers.

Heck, that’s probably the main reason I’m still an entrepreneur. I don’t want anyone telling me what I do or do not have access to, and I actually enjoy “figuring things out.” It’s a game!

So if you think you have what it takes to, as I said earlier, “figure it out,” then take action today. If not, that’s okay too. Some people really enjoy those ‘controlled environments.’
