I am actually a walk on myself. I went to one of the best college soccer programs in the country and asked the coach for a try-out. I trained with them for a month and then the coach told me I wasn't good enough to play on this team. To make a long story short I worked my butt off, was persistent, and never gave up, and sure enough five years later I can say I was a three year starter, captain, and all-conference performer at that same school. I also discovered the power of personal development books. The life changing book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill stumbled into my hands after I suffered a devastating defeat my senior year of college. I worked harder then I ever have in my life coming into my senior year of college, and had huge hopes. We ended up suffering our worse record in school history that year and I felt deeply disrespected by the coaching staff and program. But something deep down told me that this wasn't how my soccer career was supposed to end, I just knew it, and sure enough everything slowly fell into place. The old coach was fired, I found out I had another year of eligibility, the new coach was hired (Great coach and friend), and the book Think and Grow Rich came into my life. The very next year we were one of the top three teams in the country, and won our regular season and conference championships. With almost an identical strating line up as the year before. There is great power in the Law of Attraction and these great principles that are taught in these personal development books, and I am so glad to see that you are spreading a message of hope and inspiration, the world needs more of it.
