I take rejection as a sign that I need to work even harder so next time I won't miss out on the opportunity.

Rejection doesn't mean failure. It just means improvement on the thing that you've been doing.

Rejection of your manuscript is not a rejection of you as a person, or as a writer. It is only a rejection of a piece of writing you have turned out. That makes a difference. You can always grow as a writer. Always. You can learn from your setbacks. If you stick to it, you will get better. So the rejection of a piece of writing is not saying anything about your potential.

Rejection is so natural, I think we all have to pass that kind of emotional pain to be able to learn and grow. Like me, the more I get rejected by my clients, the more persistent I am, it's a way of a challenge for me. Just be positive and set to yourself that you will get through.
